Our Story
The Christmas Dinner was started in 1985 by Rocky Addison in a little church on the corner of 8th & Victoria Avenue here in Brandon. It was held on December 25th. There were only 30 people that attend the first year!
The dinner quickly outgrew the church so it was decided to move to Prairie Oasis. We held the dinner both December 25th & 26th to better accommodate the growing number of guests. A few years later the dinner once again outgrew that venue as well so we moved up to the Keystone Centre where some years there was up to 4,300 meals served between deliveries & dine in! Fast forward to now where we serve approximately 3,400 meals on Christmas Day alone.
Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy a free hot meal on Christmas Day. The less fortunate, the elderly, students who are unable to make it home for Christmas, or those wanting some fellowship. Everyone is welcome.

This year, the dinner will be celebrating its 39th year in operation. This is all thanks to the over 400 men women and children that volunteer and the very generous sponsors in our community.
Everyone in attendance are offered their hot meal table-side along with presents for kids under 12.
